It is efficient, economical, time-saving and involves less fuss. But in spite of that, there are a few side-effects of angioplasty as well. Let’s have a look at what could be the possible risks involved in and how to overcome them.Suhana Ansarihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09569497902965929846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4778975207510847726.post-90769843658104637592010-10-07T01:10:18.619-06:002010-10-07T01:10:18.619-06:00I totally agree with you. What they will not own up to is the fact that CCSVI has been the focus of cover-ups for years. They are more concerned with damage control than damaged people.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01495519680045333652noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4778975207510847726.post-14730430429163111832010-10-06T09:16:14.040-06:002010-10-06T09:16:14.040-06:00I totally agree with you. She says in her letter and I quote, "Individuals wishing to obtain these services (CCSVI) can do so, but OHIP does not fund services that are uninsured. Currently, angioplasty is an insured service under OHIP for people who have a recognized clinical condition that would benefit from the procedure. CCSVI is not yet one of those recongnized clinical condition and will require focused research to determine if it should become an insured service through OHIP."<br /><br />Maybe we should be lobbying our hospitals to do the procedure and allow us to pay for it. Why are the hospitals stopping this procedure from being done? What are they afraid of? Are they afraid that the Minister of Health will withhold or cut some funding.<br />We are more than willing to pay for this procedure ourselves. Better we pay for it here in our own country with our Canadian Doctors than travel overseas or to the US and pay exorbatant fees.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
